Jacksonville Jaguars and Dream Finders Homes

The Jacksonville Jaguars and Dream Finders Homes officially broke ground on a new house to be built at Everbank Field. True Design Studios is honored to be a part of this high profile project and to donate their resources to contribute to the making of an amazing community venture.

When True Design Studios was asked to partner with Dream Finders, the opportunity could not be passed up. TDS was approached late last year with the exciting opportunity of designing a home to be built in partnership with Dream Finders Homes at EverBank Field. TDS met with members of the Jaguars organization and SMG, the company that manages the stadium, to discuss their thoughts and vision for the upcoming project.

The Jacksonville homebuilding company Dream Finders Homes is building a 2,400 square foot home inside Gate 4 at the Fan Entertainment Zone on the Southeast corner of the Stadium. The two-story home will be on display for 24 months before being transported to an off-site location where Dream Finders will then donate the home to a military veteran. Dream Finders Homes is the largest private homebuilder in Northeast Florida and just last year Dream Finders Homes was named No. 91 on the Builder Top 100 List.

Perhaps one of the more exciting design aspects of this project is that it was designed in modules that are Architecturally and Structurally independent of each other. This was done to facilitate the movement of this home in the near future so that it can be transported to its final resting place and donated to a lucky veteran. The home is designed in the Coastal Vernacular on piers with a crawlspace for several reasons: 1) It is contextually appropriate from a streetscape perspective 2) It makes for easy transportation once the life of the project is complete. Damon Roby, Managing Principle of TDS stated, “TDS is extremely proud of this endeavor and humbled by the opportunity to play a part in such a high profile project that not only features good design, but gives back to the community as well.”
