When TDS first opened its doors in 2008, I never thought we’d be where we are in such a short amount of time. I am actually hesitant to use the phrase ‘opened its doors’ because for the first year or so we were in a small room in the Apex Jacksonville Flagship Office that didn’t even have a door on it! At that time our biggest issue with company growth was that the extremely loud printer utilized primarily by the Apex staff was located directly next to my desk, which made phone conversations difficult at best. Now we are a team of 9 (in our own offices, I might add), which includes a regular rotation of interns to ensure that we are pouring into the talent of the future.

Since then we’ve won several prestigious awards for home design and have been keynote speakers in seminars across the Southeast promoting such things as sustainable design and a holistic approach to home building. Most recently we have been blessed with the chance to design another high profile project that will be featured at EverBank Field for the next several years (which you can read more about below). Quite an auspicious commencement when I consider such humble beginnings. It really all comes down to the leadership and support of those that have gone before me and that continue to mentor the TDS team today.

No longer just an immature younger sibling in the family of companies that make up what is now BeLit, TDS is entering a very exciting phase of it’s development. We are experiencing growth and opportunities that will truly define the impact we leave on the industry for the immediate future and hopefully for years to come. These prospects give not only myself but the team around me the chance to develop at a personal and professional level that is truly amazing to watch and be a part of. Woven into it all is the DNA of who TDS is and what we believe in: Good Design and Documentation with Excellent Customer Service.
